フィードバックを提供するLa Diosa Mexicana opened in Surfer’s Paradise a couple of months ago, and though we missed the opening, we took the opportunity to take up an invitation to visit when we made a trip to the Gold Coast. “La Diosa” translates to “the goddess”, so the name of the restaurant means “The Mexican Goddess”. There are a number of goddesses in the Aztec mythology, and it is not evident which one in particular they are paying homage to. Given the bloodthirstiness and sacrificial demands of most Aztec deities though, perhaps it is more a figurative than literal reference.
Wow! So delicious food. Large portion sizes. As per photos below, we ordered Tacos, Burrito, Quesadilla Nachos. The potato that came as a side was so crispy and not greasy. Our waitress Lisa was incredibly friendly. I'm not a big fan of Margaritas because they can be mad, but Lisa said they can add Agave to make it sweeter for me. The glass rim was also not immersed in extremely acidic salt, it was like a mixture of salt/sugar/zone something, not safe but delicious. It was also a bonus that they were only $10 on Thursday night. The service was fast. We had an 18:30 booking.
I never give 5 star reviews, but this place was Amazing. Every penny worth it. Food was absolutely delicious, large portion sizes. Cocktails are also delicious. You miss if you don't try this place! Staff super friendly and polite as well. Food came out quickly and was nice and hot and super fresh. If you read bad reviews, ignore them because they are obviously an idiot and don't know a good soil of rooted Mexican food when a tortilla has crushed them in the cripples. Just book it, you won't be disappointed.
Fantastic tacos the best I ever had! Absolutely loved all you eat taco fiesta, especially chicken, chorizo and Snapper tacos. The chicken wings and tortilla chips as starters were also delicious!
Lisa is the queen of the gold coast. best experience I ever had in any restaurant. She saved our school classes. we love them forever. the cheesy pommes and maischips were the best I ever had. I will like to die here, please scatter my ashes at la diosa service: dine in meal type: lunch price per person: $20–40
