Went back today, bought a baguette and half way back to the car realised it was stale and hard. I went back and asked the shop assistant to enquire if the banquette was baked today. She disappeared out the back and after a few minutes came back and said they were making me another one and it would take a few minutes to bake. I waited about 15 minutes, during which time another staff member came over and apologised. None of the other half a dozen stale banquettes were removed from the basket. Finally I was presented with a hot paper wrapped banquette, but arriving home I discovered it was burnt and binned it.How can something so good go to something so bad so quickly? Is it even legal to sell Day old bread? The bakery now has a huge lolly section where one of the tills was which is not in keeping with a bakery. I'm wondering if they have lost their original baker or if the business has changed hands.A bakery needs fresh daily baked delicious bread and I can't see Bisou lasting much longer unless they really lift their game!! Most disappointing!!
I had one of the best salads of my life here, followed a week later by one of the worst. So I decided to settle for tea or coffee and a treat on subsequent visits. I must have tried almost every dessert on offer, and haven't found one worth eating, with the possible exception of their brownies which aren't always available. Such a pity as I love the cottage style decor and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I've also tried their scrambled eggs breakfast - the sourdough toast was like hard as a rock and the mountain of eggs was too much for one person. Also had a meat pie one day and found it on a par with frozen pies from a supermarket. Will stick to coffee in future!
Choose from a delicious array of sweets - the perfect place to pick up something delightful to take to a morning tea. Also a good selection of sour dough breads and baguettes. Expensive but fancy.
Friendly staff, the coffee was made well and the food we had was excellent. Have been there now several times and enjoyed consistent service and quality food. Sometimes we have had to wait a little for a table but we dont mind as we have a wander around the shops.
Bisou Bakery was absolutely delicious. I had nothing but praise and compliments. I have spent far to much money in the past here and the baguette sandwich were worth every cent of the somewhat expensive price. Then I went back today...... Toasted Ham and Cheese croissant I had at Bisou Bakery well either the Croissant or the Ham had been frozen or both had been prepared last night and over chilled. Bought a Chicken Baguette and a Ham and Cheese Baguette to take back to work . Firstly $32.50 for those 3 things is simply too expensive. Secondly the once crisp hard delicious Baguette are now soft, doey and taste like the coles bake at home frozen rolls. Everything about my order today was available at any sandwhich shop for about half of what I paid. Bisou was so so good and the pricing WAS fair but now not only has the pricing exceeding reasonable the product being served is POOR at best. Such a shame and I for one will not be going back.... I do have to say that the lady serving was first class and super friendly.
