Huntley Taverne - Summit

Thanks to a quick Google search, we discovered this amazing restaurant near Short Hills Mall, and I'm so glad we did! My fiancé and I are big food lovers, and we enjoy dining out for nice experiences on Friday nights. This place truly exceeded our expectations. Even the way they answer the phone makes you eager to dine with them. Our waitress, Sydney, made the experience even better. She was by far the friendliest waitress we've ever encountered, offering fantastic recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed at all times. Not to mention, every single dish we ordered was fantastic. I can't recommend this restaurant enough! We will definitely be returning—it's well worth the drive!

In a timeless setting, you can savor some of the most intriguing and innovative dishes, alongside beloved classics. Yesterday, I enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak paired with an inventive tomato salad that was equally delightful. We also shared a fascinating tuna tartare, an incredible chicken soup—another classic prepared with love and care—and their sea scallops, which were cooked to perfection. I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here. We were celebrating a birthday, and they surprised us with a lovely birthday plate and a complimentary dessert, complete with a candle. Everything here is not only delicious but also elegant and tasteful. Additionally, the waitstaff is professional, warm, and engaging. Dining here is not just a meal; it’s a wonderful experience.

The food, atmosphere, and service at this restaurant make it our favorite spot for date night. It never disappoints! The pork chop is fantastic—definitely try it! The mushroom flatbread and scallops are also wonderful.

Trying a new tavern... ample parking space... exterior looks good... although not sure if it exudes a tabern feel... more like a converted somewhat modern house... or maybe i have no idea what i'm talking about... and then you enter and surely enough youget that old wood tavern feel... exquisite... clean... warm... the hostesses were all smiles i feel genuinely... gives a verygood vibes... everyone of the wait staff as well... that alone warrants 5 stars... the food were also good but at this point itfeels like a plus... we ordered calamari salad... grilled prime rib... braised short ribs... and a couple desserts... the onlything amiss is that the missus did not enjoy her rosy cheeks cocktail... nevertheless it didn't dent our overall experience andrating... a gem of a find no doubt

We love this place for a nice cozy evening! They have a nice wood burning fireplace in their lounge/bar area, so we always favor sitting at the bar or on the high tops. Sometimes we go for drinks and apps, sometimes we?ll have a full dinner. The food isdelicious not fine dining, but great for American cuisine. Their honey buttered house rolls are to die for, and the porcinicrusted ribeye is one of my favorites. The last time we were there, we tried the burrata flat bread and I was very surprised byhow delicious and fresh it was! The dough was crispy and light, and overall, a great option for drinks and appetizers. The staffis awesome, specially bartender Sam who has been a pleasure since he started about a month ago.
