The homemade chips were a bit too thick and hard for our liking, especially for my almost 2-year-old. The queso was just okay; it lacked depth of flavor, offering only a hint of spiciness. I expected a more complex taste but it mostly tasted like melted spicy cheese. For my main course, I ordered the 3-taco platter with birria, americano, and baja fish, which came with rice and beans. I had tried their beans years ago and promised myself I'd never order them again, but this time they were AMAZING! I could really taste the cumin and other spices, and I even finished my husband's portion. The birria was decent, though the meat was a bit overcooked; however, the dipping broth was delicious. The baja fish taco was also quite good, though it was fried a bit too hard. The americano taco definitely did not disappoint. Overall, I had a really enjoyable experience, but I would rate it 4 out of 5 due to the chips and queso, and some proteins being overcooked.
The chicken tortilla soup has a flavor more reminiscent of vegetable soup. The service was slower than expected, given the low number of patrons. I've taken several family members from out of town here, but I've found better taco spots nearby. The nachos are enormous, and the tacos are quite tasty. I’ll return, but I don’t feel particularly enthusiastic about it.
Taco Wednesday?! Today was definitely one of those days! Overall, the quality and taste were very good. I'm glad I opted for the three-taco platter since the tacos are smaller than usual. In terms of drinks, service, and food, I would rate Taco Boy at 5 stars. I really enjoy this style of cuisine, and they executed it beautifully. I will definitely be coming back!
Delicious food every single time! The vibes are always right eating here. Perfect spot for a family experience or girls night out. I always enjoy coming here!
I liked this spot a lot. It was cute, quiet and our server was nice. We were lucky enough to experience the rain in the outdoor/enclosed section of the restaurant. The food was good. I do wish the rice had been cooked a bit more. There were hard parts on the rice, almost not cooked. I'm not sure if that's how they make it or not. So take that part with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, the food was still amazing! I ordered the lunch special. One barria taco, one firecracker shrimp taco, beans and rice. All amazing! After lunch we ordered queso and enjoyed the rain.
