Bayrisch Zell - Sulzbach/Saar

A forest restaurant with a disastrous access road. Firstly, in bad weather the car looks like it has been dragged through the stream and secondly, you will break the shock absorbers because of the many potholes. It was very cool in the restaurant itself. The main course was nothing special, the homemade tiramisu was fine.

Unfortunately, everything has deteriorated in quality. The salad bar should be cleaned every now and then, as there is a lot of sauce and/or salad lying around and it generally looks really unappetizing. Unfortunately the pasta with salmon is frozen salmon very disappointing! A nice fresh piece of salmon fillet would be much more attractive and taste a lot better. Despite the small number of visitors the terrace was occupied by two tables, the adjoining room ! only had four tables , the service staff seemed overwhelmed, so we four people had to wait half an hour for our drinks.

Really great. We were there again for the first time since Martin left and we were thrilled. We received a very friendly welcome, all the waitresses were very friendly, always kept an eye on everything so that we always had drinks. The food was great. The portions are large, but if you know you can't eat that much, you can also order a senior portion, which is completely sufficient. We had the leek schnitzel, highly recommended. You can put your own salad together at the salad bar, which is a very good idea. The taste is really, really good too. The ambience has hardly changed and is still very cozy. We'll definitely be back.
