Le Metamorfosi Closed - SULMONA

We first ate here a two years ago and Massimo said it was named metamorfosi because you went in thin and came out fat! Nothing has changed , the food is still fantastic and great value for money. Everything is fresh and cooked to order .

People who don't want to talk to their dinner companions can watch what's projected on the wall. We chose to talk instead and tried to ignore the sci-fi disaster flick. Service was good but the food was only fair. Nothing memorable.

Stayed in Massimo's Albergo for five weeks when attending an intensive. While the rooms are simple, they are clean! Massimo's hospitality really overwhelmed us all. His buffet lunches were huge and included vegetarian options... Way more than a human can eat! And his suppers were as expansive! I am a great spaghetti carbonara fan, and his use of guanchale instead of prosciutto was awesome! We all had a great stay there and enjoyed his massive warm self every day!

Loved the fish here, needed some help with out italian though. Expect to wait, it takes time to cook but at least you know it's fresh

Metamorfosi uses great fresh ingredients and the people are lovely. The decor seems formal, but the place is actually quite relaxed. It 's very affordable. I got a pizza with buffala mozzarella which was yum and also ordered the 'insalatone maxi ' WOW! It was enormous and fresh and lovely. For only four euros. Nice one!
