Don's Pomeroy House - Strongsville

Wife had steak and lobster tail, very good, 4 French frys and uncooked asparagus. I had fish and chips, terrible fish in more breading than I've ever seen before. French frys we're soggy. Disappointed

Everything was perfect!!! We had the NY Strip and Scallops. Also, shrimp cocktail and Brussel sprouts with sweet potato cubes.. Amazing. The pace was perfect as well. Rarely would I say I would do this again, but in this case I would definitely do this again. Thank you for a perfect night!!

Went for our anniversary. It had been a couple of years since we had been there and things have gone downhill. The Bibb salad had way too much dressing or hadn’t been dried after washing but ended up soupy. Additionally, about 1/3 of it was mostly the hard stem of the lettuce head. The worst was the scallops with risotto. The scallops were way overcooked and rubbery with no actual sear. Did they microwave them? The risotto was a solid mass and tasted like it was made from a Lipton mix. I sent it back and they did take it off our bill. Service was not great. She was nice but had to come back and ask again what we ordered as her pen didn’t work the first time. I had a cocktail and she never asked if I wanted a refill. Nice about taking the scallops off the bill but really inattentive. Very disappointed in the whole experience. Won’t go back.

This was my first visit to the establishment a few days ago. For the most part the food was very good, only exception was the cheese cake. It was not good at all. My mixed drink was way too strong and didn't taste like what I ordered. Beautiful atmosphere and perfect to talk to each other in. Waitress was attentive but overly so. Altho the food was very good for the most part, I feel the prices were very high for what we had. The biggest con was all the stairs! Yikes, 4 flights to get to the restaurant! 2 flights to get to the pub! Would not suggest heels as I did, very scary! Parking is in back and building is up a bit of a hill. All in all we both had a nice time. Lighting was dimmed which was a nice touch. I would recommend at least once! Dress is dressy casual to dressed up. Wheelchair accessibility: None.

This has been one of our favorite places in the North Royalton and Strongsville area for years. Food is always hot and delicious. The menu regularly changes with the seasons (entrees and appetizers). The pub is always a good choice as you can order the upstairs food as well. Great place to bring our of town friends and family, especially if they like cocktails.
