The Chip Barn - Strathaven

I used to visit this restaurant with my family as a child. I recently returned on the weekend and was delighted to see that it has not changed at all over the years. The family-owned business still serves the same delicious food. The walls and windows are still lined with jars of sweets just like I remember. I will definitely be returning.

I recently had chips while the other person in my party had a supper. The chips were the best I have tasted in a long time. We will definitely make an effort to go back, even though we are not in the area.

Tasty freshly made food at a good price the large fish and chips were particularly good and the chicken supper was lovely too (according to my partner) highly recommend

I visited a fish and chip restaurant and was disappointed with the quality of the food. The fish was undercooked and the chips tasted bad. The restaurant had a simple seating area and a variety of candy options. Despite the affordable meal deals, I do not plan on returning due to the subpar food quality.

You feel like you have taken a step back in time when you come in here. It's not the most popular place in the town and that may explain why the batter on stuff is a bit on the chewy side. Also they close early and open late???? Why....
