The Stowe Inn Tavern

We had a wonderful experience; the view was spectacular, the service was attentive, and our meals were delicious. However, the menu is somewhat limited.

We had dinner on New Year's Eve, and everything was wonderful. I highly recommend it!

Now for the highlights: **Water:** Two out of three glasses had a noticeably sweet taste, reminiscent of vanilla. It left us wondering if there was some sort of residue? A mystery to solve. **Ketchup:** The kids' meal came with fries, so we requested ketchup. After a bit of a wait, we received two tiny cups of what appeared to be tomato paste. No joke. **Salad:** I played it safe since there wasn’t really a vegetarian option, opting for a salad with apple, feta, nuts, and arugula. Unfortunately, the apple was absent, and the dressings available were just basic options: Cisco’s finest blue cheese, ranch, or Italian. Quite disappointing. **Shrimp Scampi:** Given the issues we encountered with the water and the ketchup, what do you call a husband who eats the shrimp? Brave? Foolish? Overall, none of us finished even half of our meals. It was quite a strange experience. The restaurant was nearly empty, so perhaps we were the last ones to find out that it isn't great. On the plus side, the staff was nice and we certainly had some laughs.

The menu posted on Open Table was not at all a representation of what the restaurant offered. There were only 4 entrees, none of which were on Open Table. I do not recommend this spot at all

We had a very negative experience and didn't even get to try their food! Made reservations for Christmas dinner in advance, and when we arrived we were appalled at the unlit ice rink of a parking lot we had to traverse (note, it was a clear sunny day prior). We entered the Inn and found no host or even directions to the restaurant. We poked around and found it finally, only to be told very pleasantly that the kitchen was closed so all we could do was drink at the bar. The food might be wonderful, but this experience reflected so badly on their organization and respect for their customers that we will never return
