Peters Tavern - Stoke-on-Trent

The hospitality and food at this restaurant are amazing. The hostess is extremely friendly and has great taste in music. I highly recommend trying the fried Edam, it is absolutely divine.

We recently had a pre-graduation meal at the restaurant on Sunday evening. The beer was fantastic and the food was delicious, with generous portions and quick service. We will definitely return when we are in Stoke again.

We decided to order 3 traditional Slovak/Czech dishes along with 2 different Czech draft beers. Everything was fantastic, reminiscent of home-cooked meals. The atmosphere resembled a cozy mountain pub in the Tatras or Alps, but it was somewhat empty on a Sunday afternoon. It's a hidden gem that more people should discover and experience the flavors of Eastern European cuisine. The standout dish for us was the delicious stuffed schnitzel, specifically the 'Chicken Spinach' variety.

Horrendous.. steak served well done (not what I asked for steak and sauce cold. My friends chicken burgers were over done and tasted of nothing but chip fat. We all ordered food a table of 9 … the kids meals came 30 minutes after the adults mains. We ordered 3 pizzas they all arrived at different times the last pizza arrived nearly an hour after mains arrived. Everyone complained about their meal. Staff rude and not exactly dressed smart either. Run down restaurant with rubbish food and incapable staff who stand on their phones. Go to McDonald’s :
