El Cielo - Stockholm

This was the best surprise we had in Stockholm! Looks a little laid back, shady outside seating under the trees, doesn't feel like anything much. But, wow! We were blown away by the fantastic food, the super friendly South American staff, the wine, the service, the drinks, every little detail. From the tapas especially the calamares, the pinchos and the cevice, to the incredible parrilla with loads of perfectly grilled meats (the best I've had since South America), to the superb Tiramisu and the cocktails, we were so happy we could not praise them enough. Also dog friendly. We will be back!

Underwhelming experience with super sweet staff is the summary of our lunch at El Cielo. We had burgers, plain, too greasy and uninteresting. Undercooked fries. No culinary surprises here simply boring. Not trying to be mean here, but there are simply too many good and great restaurants in Stockholm to ever feel the need go back to El Cielo for another mediocre meal. I would hire the waiter in a heartbeat though he was great,

They have a menu of Argentine food, first we ordered some chorizo tapas, they were very small, there was not enough a whole chorizo in two tapas, as a main dish I ordered a chorizo steak, it was a normal steak with bag fries, we had a discount of 50%, but paying 100% would have been a scam.

Okay food but too expensive for what you get. The place looks fancier than it is. Nice service. Won’t come back.

The service was excellent. We were served by both a waiter and a waitress at our visit and both of them was all smiling with a lot of patients and knowledge about the food. Unfortunately the food served was not at all worth the price when it comes to size and ingredients. We had tapas and main course (beef) and it was very expensive, even though it tasted good.
