Alegria Tapas Vasastan - Stockholm

I was there yesterday. It was very crowded between the tables and we sat very very close to the tabels on both our sides. The food is okay but it will be expensive to eat a full dinner. The overall experience is not that nice at all. For that kind of money you can eat at a much better place.

Caliente Tapas is a rather tapas restaurant/chain. There are a few of them in the city and they are very similar in character. The food is average at best and quite greasy. The only real plus it has in Stockholms highly competive restarurant scene is that quite cheap. So if you are hungry and want a cheap meal fast Caliente will suffince.

Nothing extraordinary. Not really the typical tapas but quite ok. Good variety in case of allergies and some vegan options.

This restaurant is a bit out of the way (neighbourhood wise) to get to but cost wise is very reasonable considering the average price for food in Stockholm in general. We bought a nice selection of dishes (meat, fish etc) and washed it down with a refreshing sangria whilst sitting outside in the fresh air.

I am looking to order tapas for a party so decided to try this place near where I used to work. There is the same restaurant near my current office. Although the restaurants do not cater I could order for delivery ...although I won’t. I ordered 4 dishes and had a glass of wine...355 SEK. I know tapas is meant to be shared but hey... I was on the hunt for party dishes. Although the traditional potato dish in tomato sauce is good, the garlic mushrooms and beef were drowning in oil. The veggie quesadilla was good but not amazing. The bread was not fresh either. Overall I am disappointed. Even though I clearly said I was tasting food for a party... and I was at the restaurant when it was almost empty... no one asked how the food was until the end and in general I was not inspired. Oh well. Probably fine for others but I won’t go again
