The Violet Basil - Stevens Point

WOW! Hidden gem here in Stevens Point! Fresh traditional Italian pizza recipes. Might be too authentic for pizza boy Portnoy to rate highly but we will definitely be back! PS the Tiramisu and Cannolli are next level incredible.

We just picked up a pizza and a Caesar salad from the Violet Basil to go, and it was beyond our expectations. Super fresh salad and the pizza was awesome. Fresh ingredients, great sauce and a great crust. We will be back, sooner than later! This is a special place that we are lucky to have here in town!

Pizza changed. No longer authentic or delicious.Too bad,used to be the best in town. Response to owner: The crust is no longer airy and chewy. It used to be heavenly! Today, it was thin, dense, dry, and overcooked. The cheese blend seemed different, but it was so overcooked it was a little hard to tell. I’ve always raved about the MARGHERITA CLASSICO here, but this time we left over half of it there. Not even worth finishing. Possibly the recipe is the same, but the execution has fallen apart.

Amazing food. For what you get, the price was great. I cannot wait to come back.

Best pizza in central Wisconsin. Tasty, creative and delicious!Update: The rest of the menu is also amazing and would recommend their chicken crispy prosciutto hoagie. Yummy!
