Rota Spring Ice Cream - Sterling

This is easily some of the best ice cream I've ever had in the US. They offer over 40 flavors, including some seasonal options, and you can check out the menu on their website. When we visited at 8 PM on a Saturday night, the parking lot was full, but it's quite spacious, so we were able to find a spot with no trouble. We only waited in line for about 10 minutes since they had at least 8 service windows open to take orders.

This is my favorite spot for evening ice cream. It's conveniently located near my home, the ice cream is delicious, and the servings are generous. There is seating available under a tent, as well as several tables along the side of the building. Their farm store offers seasonal fruits and vegetables, along with local honey, jams, and meats.

The small banana split is quite generous and could easily be shared, even though it feels like a large portion. There are charming goats and cows nearby that you can see and pet.

You absolutely have to visit! It's a charming place! You can enjoy the delicious grass-fed ice cream while watching the cows grazing in the pasture. There are also goats for your kids to check out! If the line is long, don't let that discourage you; it's definitely worth the wait. The raspberry chocolate chip flavor is a favorite, and I'm a big fan of the lavender flavor that becomes available in August.
