Lefty’s Famous Cheesesteaks, Hoagies Grill

Tried Lefty's online carry-out for the first time tonight and was really underwhelmed. Ordered brisket (burnt ends) wedges. 1. The brisket was not at all burnt or crispy. 2. The wedges were just plain fries, not wedges. Doesn't hold up the same. Fries were a bit soggy underneath the topping. The BBQ sauce was good and we enjoyed the addition of the coleslaw on top. Ordered a Lefty's cheesesteak with the spicy cherry peppers. Without them, there wouldn't be much flavor. Ordered a Big Poppa. It was kinda good, but so confusing! We couldn't tell if it reminded us of a McDonald's Big Mac or a White Castle cheeseburger. Lol! We expected something a bit more gourmet, but they are basically just fast food subs. Even though the bun is plain out of the bag and not toasted, they weren't soggy. We did eat them right away though. Ordered a chocolate custard shake. It was vanilla with a couple squirts of chocolate. I think the staff member who prepared it was just rushing. Maybe on a less busy day, it would have more chocolate. Otherwise, it wasn't bad. Don't get your hopes up too high so you're not let down. Not terrible if you want to try something new while you're out shopping and need a quick bite, but not anything to make a special trip for.

Listen the place is getting better n better ! Structure I see the older white guy has gotten these workers going , I’m a tough critic but first 2 orders weren’t good but last 2minths excellent subs excellent attention to detail when you spend $15 on a 8 inch sub !Keep it up

How anyone can say the food is good must be being paid to do so. Save your and put some ground beef on a hotdog bun because that’s what it is. The fries were equally disgusting had the distinct flavor of stale oil.

I wish I could give them 10 stars for customer service! I came here today to grab a sandwich and snowstorm had just begun. I got the Winfrey for takeout but decided to stay inside and eat since I couldn't get a Lyft. The manager kindly gave me free curly fries and a drink. I was starving and appreciated the gesture. Would highly recommend this place. They seem to really care about their customers.

Food was good. Employees were nice and polite. Only problem was that they didn't have any heat in the building and temperature outside was in the teens. Employees had to wear their winter coats to wait on customers and cook on the grill. Until they get it fixed you might want to do a carry-out instead of dining in.
