フィードバックを提供するMy wife and I visit this restaurant frequently. We've moved around a lot for work, which has made it difficult to find good Chinese food, but fortunately, this place is conveniently located near our new home. I mostly order takeout, and I enjoy it every single time.
The almond chicken was quite crunchy and difficult to chew, while the gravy was cold and bland. The fried rice served alongside also lacked taste. As for the cashew shrimp, it had an excessive amount of celery but very few mushrooms and baby corn.
I can't understand why it's so hard to find good Chinese food in this area. The egg rolls were very small and not anything special. The Boneless Almond Chicken was disappointing—overcooked chicken with a canned brown sauce that I just couldn't enjoy. The Sweet and Sour Chicken suffered the same fate; the chicken was overcooked, and the sauce was lacking flavor.
I’ll start with the positives. The server was nice the restaurant dining area was clean. I ordered almond chicken, sweet and sour chicken, chicken egg rolls and beef with broccoli. The chicken on both entrees tasted very stale, greasy and processed. No texture to it at all. The gravy for the almond chicken was weirdly gritty and nasty. The beef in the beef broccoli entree was ok, the broccoli tasted like it had been sitting next to something fragrant in the freezer and absorbed the smell. This is a for sure, one and done. Tossed into the trash.
Stopped by for lunch. Restaurant was clean. Server was polite. Food was nice and really good value for money. This is not a high end place. Just a small mom pop restaurant inside a quiet strip mall next to LA Fitness/ Home Depot.Give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.
