White Star Tavern - Staunton

Our dinners were wonderful. Our server went up to recommend a local beer to my daughter. I love the fact that a historic building had a second chance and saved from the wreckball. Mill Street Grill is amazing!

Wow!!! The food here is delicious! We were visiting Staunton and was recommended to go here by our hotel front desk lady. It did not disappoint! The place was bustling on a Friday night. We didn’t mind the wait for a table. The staff was on point with juggling the hostess stand, answering calls, and handing out take-out orders. I overheard a conversation from a call in when they had to tell the customer that they were no longer fulfilling take-out orders because they were so busy. It sounded like the person on the other end was giving the hostess a hard time, but she was very sweet to them and never lost her patience. Our waitress was great and the food was AWESOME! The bread they give you with specialty butter is so good. My husband got some of the best prime ribs we had ever tasted. We joked that we hadn’t eaten that good since our cruise last year! I got the artichoke chicken and that was great too! They bring you a small complimentary ice cream at the end of your meal too! The atmosphere is unique- it’s an old flour mill. Would highly recommend going here and we plan on going back!

Visited around 5 pm on a Monday night and although it was pretty busy, there was no wait and we were quickly seated. The bread was incredibly cute and the pumpkin butter gave it just the right amount of sweetness. My entire family got the baby back ribs which were amazing and I highly recommend everyone try. The meat comes right off the bone to make it a delicious dinner. The fried were also surprisingly very good as they were just the right amount of crispiness. To finish off the meal, we were served peppermint ice cream which is just what I needed to finish off this incredible meal. Seriously though, I’m all for replacing mints at the end of a meal with peppermint ice cream. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend everyone take a visit!

The food was excellent. The service was perfect. What a fun place to go. Good prices good quality good atmosphere. There's a reason why this is the number one restaurant in Staunton Virginia. Get there early as it's quite crowded around dinner time. And if they have the crab asparagus soup on the menu, you should definitely taste it. It is delicious. And they have beef ribs which is very unusual. They were done perfectly the meat was falling off the bone. They even have a nice dry rub on them. They easily accommodated our keto diet. I highly recommend this place.

Our first visit and we were pleased. Nice menu offerings, service was wonderful and the food delicious.
