Kyoto Sushi V - Staten Island

I don't usually write reviews, but I had to share my experience at this restaurant—it was absolutely incredible! The food was fresh and the service was extremely friendly. It’s been a while since I've had sushi this good. I highly recommend it!

Delicious food, fresh ingredients, and very friendly staff at reasonable prices. You absolutely have to try the Godzilla rolls!

This is a true hidden gem! I never expected this small place to offer such amazing flavor and quality at a reasonable price. The quality of the food is definitely impressive. I could tell right away from the tuna; it fell apart effortlessly when I took a bite of the sushi. When the tuna is tender and not chewy, you know you're getting top-notch meat. The bento box was perfectly prepared. Honestly, the only downside is that I wish there had been more of it! Also, just a heads up: be sure to check in before ordering to see their current offer on Yelp.

Ordered 2 rolls and the salmon eel were not fresh. It was stinky and off color. Went straight to the garage.

First of all kudos to Kyoto for their service during this pandemic. The owner is absolutely fabulous! Our family orders dinner from him at least twice a month. He greats us very lovingly and always refers to us as friends . The sushi is terrific, clean, fresh and presented with care. This is the third year that we ordered our New Years Eve platter from him. We were able to customize our platter with him and he was super patient with us while taking our order. He makes THE BEST Godzilla rolls and the incredible roll is just that...incredible! This is a great little spot to order from for lunch or dinner. When the pandemic clears up, it 's. Such a nice place to go sit in and eat. It 's cozy and you 'll have a chance to speak with the owner who is super friendly!!! Five stars and kudos for staying open!!
