Hi-way Pizza Pub - State College

I waited over an hour for a pepperoni pizza, and the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. The service was terrible and disorganized. I don’t like writing negative reviews, but the service was just that poor… sadly, the negative reviews are accurate in this case.

Over the past three months, we attempted to order pizza from this restaurant three times. Each time, our order was accepted, but when we arrived to pick it up, the restaurant was closed. This happened even when we ordered through their official website. While it hasn't been a major issue, it has been frustrating since we've been trying to plan events with friends and ended up scrambling for food at the last minute. The pizza is decent, but the reliability leaves much to be desired. I simply cannot trust this place to fulfill their commitments. If you want to order food and be confident that it will be ready, I recommend looking for another option.

I'm an Uber driver from New York, and I absolutely love this place! The service from the woman at the front was fantastic, and the pizza is outstanding! I highly recommend this restaurant. A big thank you for serving me 10 minutes before closing—much love and appreciation!

They have undergone significant changes over the years. It used to be the best pizza place in town, especially with their pizza buffet on Wednesday nights, but that hasn't been offered in years. The kitchen's consistency leaves much to be desired; if you order a dish that you really enjoy, there's a good chance it will taste completely different the next time you order it. It's not necessarily bad, but it's not what you expected. However, the desserts are fantastic! We don’t visit as often anymore—just a couple of times a year—mainly because it's nostalgic for me.

This is some of the worst food I’ve ever had. I only ate one bite of my chicken parm because it was so terrible. The waitress didn’t even ask if there was anything wrong with it. We waited over 30 minutes with dirty plates on the table to get the check. Spending 105$ on terrible food with subpar service is a huge bummer. Don’t waste your money here.
