The Boar's Head - Standish

We visited this restaurant for a family birthday celebration and had an amazing time. The service and food were top-notch. Our server, Shannon, was fantastic and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. She even surprised the birthday child with a small cake, which was a lovely touch. The sirloin steak with blue cheese sauce was exquisite. I highly recommend this place!

We returned for another meal on December 15, 2021, and I had a pizza while my partner ordered the seafood platter. Both dishes were amazing! The pizza is cooked in a real pizza oven, which truly makes a difference, and you can choose as many or as few toppings as you like—it was absolutely delicious. My partner raved about the seafood platter, calling it extremely tasty. Once again, we received a warm welcome and attentive service. We will definitely be back!

We had our first meal at the Boar's Head, a very cozy pub with friendly staff. My mother visited with my aunt and enjoyed the Ploughman’s lunch. For starters, my dad and I had the black pudding stack (which wasn’t on the current menu, but the manager kindly arranged it for us) and the pâté. For our main courses, we chose fish and chips, lasagna, and a piri piri chicken burger. With drinks, our total came to £70. We would definitely come back!
