Westover Pizzeria - Stamford

I recently visited this restaurant for the first time. Upon entering, a woman instructed me to order from the menu displayed on the wall. I decided to order a chicken cutlet wedge, which was listed as $9.95 on the menu. However, when I received the bill, I was charged $12.95 instead. When I brought this discrepancy to the attention of the owner, she proceeded to explain to me about politics, the economy, and the effects of Covid on their pricing. I expressed my disappointment, mentioning that it was misleading to display certain prices on the wall and then charge a higher amount. The owner defended the decision, stating that it was too costly to update the menu. Unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression on me. Paying $13 for a chicken cutlet sandwich is likely one of the highest prices in town.

This used to be my favorite restaurant, but the customer service has gone downhill. When I opened the door for a delivery, the driver had a grumpy expression and didn't even acknowledge my greeting. Needless to say, he did not receive a tip from me. Although I love their food, I will not be ordering from them again after this experience.

The owner should prioritize training the staff to be more polite, as there have been several similar complaints. While the food is generally good, a staff member at the restaurant displayed a know-it-all attitude when I inquired about a significantly delayed delivery. They spoke to me as if it was my first time ordering pizza and insisted that the oven was running two hours behind. It would be much easier if they simply maintained a friendly demeanor.

Huge portions of each part is large enough to share for two people! If you order a main dish, the pasta on the page is large enough for a meal of itself. The chicken parmigiana is perfectly cooked and you have residues for a late evening snack. I also recommend the wedges very large satisfying and the staff is very nice to boot. You'll never be hungry here. Also great prices!

Delicious and always excellent, every time, every order. Dinners are huge, taste amazing, and are very well appreciated. Pizza is great. Sicily is very good. All ingredients taste fresh, and the service is always fast. Love their Penne Vodka and Chicken Marsala! Five stars on the way! The classic quarter pizza place!
