Saracens Head - Stafford

Excellent meal on Tuesday lunchtime. Daughter and I were made welcome, thoroughly enjoyed a course meal including special Shrove Tuesday pancake menu! Loved watching the llamas and sheep such fun!! Splendid food and service thank you!

Real home cooked food,the roast dinner was wonderful,veg was cooked to perfection,Yorkshire puddings we're big,fluffy and tasty,meat was moist ,roasts were crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside,gravy was lovely, I am very fussy with food and have to say its the best pub roast I have EVER had, it was like sitting at home with a roast dinner cooked by mum!!, the pub is warm,friendly and inviting, the service was terrific,nothing was too much trouble.,the staff were lovely and the owner was warm and welcoming and the owners daughters; chef fantastic helping to serve (Jayne friendly-caring and funny- I would have no hesitation in recommending the Saracens Head to everyone and anyone who wants a great home cooked meal in a traditional pub with wonderful ambience,great service and good prices-fantastic value for money..

Highly recommend this pub! I went there with a large group of friends (there were of us), and everything was lovely. The person answering the phone was friendly and helpful when we booked, and even offered to put decorations up when she heard it was a birthday party. My friends recommend the guest ale they have on at the moment I think it's called Puffing Billy, but I'm not sure. They had a decent selection of vegetarian dishes, and the oatcakes with leeks and mushrooms were delicious. We didn't have pudding because the portions were very generous, but I definitely intend to return and try them out.
