La Marmite Mauricienne - St Pierre

I take the seafood noodles and it was really good. Reminded of home food and the portion was big. The price was also really good.

This local restaurant is a small gem. Low key, but the food is delicious, the staff super friendly, and the prices reasonable. They have a huge variety of foods, from simple dishes to fresh lobsters. We loved it.

Don't be put off by the exterior, Marmite is a great little restaurant. I would have judged it from the appearance but luckily was recommended by a friend and we are so glad we sampled their menu. We ate here multiple times, lunch and dinner, the menu is varied and there is something for every appetite. I think the most stand out thing is the pricing, they price their dishes fairly and in accordance with local costs... many restaurants in the area charge London prices which is absurd. For less than 1,000 rupees (approx £20) you can have 2 main courses and 4 cocktails...that's correct 4 COCKTAILS!! Their prices are about half that of the other local restaurants, I highly recommend. All the food was delicious and the people that run it are friendly and attentive, always making space for us even when they were about to close. It was always packed which is a great endorsement.

Affordable prices but dishes were of fast food quality filled stomach but did not provide any pleasure or desire to come back We were expecting a but more after reading very positive reviews…

It's a simple cheap eatery, good for small budget but since they are limited staff expect long waiting time. We didn't feel welcome and because we received our main meal 1hr after our drinks, out host refused eyes contact with no apologies, I won't be going there again
