Smileys Deli is a local gem and arguably serves the best unofficial Cuban sandwich in St. Petersburg! One sandwich is so large it could feed a small family, and their salads are massive—about 8 pounds! They actually weigh the meat before putting together the sandwich, which is pretty hilarious. This place is a hidden treasure in St. Pete, and all the locals love it! Make sure to come hungry because you’ll definitely leave feeling overly satisfied! The new owners took over last year, but everything is still just as good as before!

Dining here is top-notch, and the service is even more impressive. I'm truly addicted to everything on the menu—from the subs to the salads, every detail is outstanding! It's a solid 100% best all around!

I just walked in and asked for a Cuban turkey and went out with knowing about this family business and I also met a young man with a bright future in baseball. I love this place. successful for smiley’s deli. the sandwich is by far the best thing I ever had! somehow. you miss if you didn't try. so glad I found it.
