Hotel Kendler Restaurant - St. Gilgen

Family-run hotel and restaurant in the centre of St.Gilgen. Been here often and today was better than ever recommend the Cordon Bleu and Schnitzel! In summer full, so expect to wait for a table, but worth it. We're back with the family.

Exceptional local cuisine. We rarely visit the same restaurant twice, but that was really a positive exception. Disorders are difficult, therefore recommended after heavy mountain hikes.

Our overnight stay at Hotel Kendler was excellent. The food was also amazing. I would recommend this restaurant 100%.

We walked around and stumble this restaurant which seems the only one open for lunch. We see what other reviewers mean about the waitress. She does seem un welcoming but I think this the German way stern and serious. The food was good and tasty. We ordered a couple of things and one was pork schnitzel which was well made light and crispy on the outside and just done on the inside.

4 of us all choosing something different and all happy! Traditional Austrian food very correctly done and the more ambitious stuff was high quality too. Excellent, rapid, friendly service as well.
