We were seated in a room with a view of the parking lot. On a positive note, the decor of this historic house was lovely, particularly since it was beautifully adorned for Christmas—the decorators did an excellent job. We enjoyed exploring the different rooms, each breathtaking in its own right. However, I was disappointed to find a hair salon attached to the restaurant, with women getting their hair done. This detracted from the historic ambiance I had been expecting. Most of us opted for salads, but they were just average; the poppy seed dressing lacked flavor. I was pleased that all our meals were served at nearly the same time, which I really appreciate. I must highlight our waitress, who was exceptional—though I regret that I didn't catch her name. She was the woman from Louisiana. Overall, I would rate the ambiance at 4 stars and the meal at 3 stars.
Now, let's talk about the food. I had the Seafood Alfredo, which was absolutely delicious. It was loaded with huge scallops, shrimp, and crab, all coated in a fantastic sauce. I ended up taking more than half of it home! The salad was exceptionally fresh, and if you're looking for a little taste of heaven, don't miss their blue cheese dressing. It's packed with generous chunks of blue cheese and is simply divine. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. The dessert selection is impressive, as you can see in the photo. I chose the 'Bumpy Cake,' and it was better than any I've ever had. You're in for a real treat when you visit Ardmore Cafe!
