The Wayside - St Brelade

Great dining in a fantastic location. It's unfortunate to hear that it was closed to make way for apartments. It was set to permanently close on November 3, 2019, after 17 years in operation.

Nice cafe open till about 10pm didn't eat but food looked good

To be honest ended up here as a last resort as we were pretty late from our sight seeing! The location is superb with fantastic views of the beech both inside and out with a lovely outside eating and smoking area. The menu is quiet extensive but as it was late and we hadn't eaten there before we opted for the cheapest thing on the menu, burger and chips. I can't say it was the best burger we've ever eaten but it was well cooked and presented very well. For the money we paid it was fine. There were other options and I'll definitely give them a try next time.

Although a cafe in appearance, it's a great location with seating indoors and out. Clean and bright and friendly, the food is good. Great place for a pot of tea or even a cream tea. Lunch menu includes fish dishes and a superb rack of lamb. Latter was about £15 with trimmings. Recommended
