What a charming breakfast spot! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious. I'm so happy I discovered this place!
I ordered two coffees, a blueberry muffin, and a quiche Lorraine, and my bill totaled over $40. To my surprise, my quiche was handed to me in a paper bag. I don't typically check prices when I grab a quick snack because I certainly don't expect it to cost $40. I can't help but wonder if I accidentally paid for someone else's order. For microwave quiche and a muffin along with two coffees, I waited 20 minutes, and I'm left feeling quite confused. Regarding Ancient City Brunch Bar, I sincerely hope there was some kind of error. I even have pictures of my $40 meal! The breakfast charcuterie boards are an interesting concept and look beautiful, but the execution falls short. For instance, if you order the board with waffles, bacon, and eggs, you receive four quarters of a waffle, four pieces of microwave bacon, and one microwave egg—all for a staggering $36! It's a charming idea, but the reality is quite disappointing. And yes, I am feeling extremely frustrated over the price of my order. Honestly, I don't believe this business is sustainable and it shouldn't continue to operate.
Expensive little place. I just wanted an egg and cheese on whole wheat, and that was $15 no side included. I was disappointed because the egg did not appear to be real but was likely one of those carton liquid eggs. For this price, I would at least like to see quality ingredients. The black tea was not strong enough to wake me up but I did appreciate a mug instead of the single use cup.The presentation was beautiful and my husband enjoyed his waffle the kids loved the French toast. Loved that we didn’t contribute any waste since food was served with real plates, utensils and mugs.
Food and service were amazing! Loved everything about this
