Chargrill Charlie's - St Albans

Brilliant establishment. Chookas always has something for everyone! Their chips are a stand out for the area, although sometimes due to their packaging can result in the chips become a tad soggy. Chips are reasonably priced however some of their more gourmet options are a bit dear for a take away establishment. Slightly difficult location to get to and often crowded and takes a while to order however this is expected from such a popular place! Often prefer this store over the Wahroonga one as it isn't crowded with obnoxious Knox kids.

The staff are super friendly. It was a little busy but line moved quickly , there is so much delicious salads to choose from as well as different types of chicken. They also have burgers which looked great and were large. We picked up a takeaway dinner but you can also eat in if you want. The drinks selection was okmnot great no milk at all which was annoying as my daughter really wanted chocolate milk.

The selection is varied and caters for all tastes. The staff are good and friendly. Charcoal Charlie has all the food behind the counter and you take a number and then order your food.

I visited Charlie's for the first time to grab a quick lunch while I was passing by. I had the Aussie burger combo, an enormous burger with bacon, egg and beetroot served with a generous portion of chips and a drink. I am a big eater but I struggled to finish this. I also bought a takeaway lentil curry for my son's dinner, which he enjoyed. Other than burgers, there are various types of chicken dishes, roasts, sides and wonderful looking salads. Prices are reasonable considering portion size and food quality. Staff are friendly and helpful. I will definitely return.

This is a great value take-away diagonally opposite St Ives shopping centre. Ideal for resolving a quick meal for dinner (or lunch). Chicken is the speciality - regular roast chicken or peri peri chicken. An assortment of fresh chips, salads and veggies to accompany the chicken (or schnitzel, or burgers). I was impressed with quality and value for money.
