For dessert, I ordered the mascarpone cheesecake and a vanilla ice shovel, but unfortunately, the cheesecake didn’t impress me—it mostly tasted like cream cheese. On the plus side, the service was excellent, the staff was friendly, and our food arrived quickly and hot.
We ordered a cup of one of the daily soups, a side Caesar salad, a dry-aged ribeye with its accompanying sides, and sea salmon with sides, finished off with the cream brulee for dessert. We also selected some wine to pair with our meal. Let’s start with dessert, which was my personal highlight of the evening. It was simply divine, featuring perfectly roasted sugar on top and a smooth vanilla custard beneath. I’d return just for the cream brulee alone! The soup was also a treat—a creamy chicken poblano that I’ll be thinking about for weeks to come, and I might even try to replicate it. The salad was acceptable, though one piece was a bit wilted, and the dressing was surprisingly heavy. The salmon was cooked perfectly, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The risotto served alongside was interesting, albeit slightly gummy, but the salty bacon and sweet corn complemented the dish nicely. Unfortunately, the dry-aged ribeye did not meet my expectations. I was eager to try it but ended up disappointed. The meat was inconsistently cooked—part medium and part medium rare—and the accompanying potatoes were bland and unremarkable. The sweet chili-style green beans felt out of place, and the dish desperately needed a sauce. The menu had mentioned a wine reduction, but none was present on my plate. Overall, it was a lovely meal with outstanding service. I’m definitely looking forward to returning to try more dishes from the menu.
For my drink, I ordered the Oak Trinity Cabernet. It was the most affordable option on the menu, but it was delicious. I’m not a fan of overly sweet or excessively bitter wines, and this one was perfectly balanced on the palate. As for the Pot Stickers, the waitress playfully mentioned that I had “kicked” her next time—she must have meant that I kicked her order up! They arrived cooked to perfection, with no dark or overcooked parts. Even without the sauce, these Pot Stickers were flavorful enough to enjoy on their own, and I ate some just like that. Now onto the Lamb Chops: they were cooked to a perfect medium and served with asparagus and potato wedges. They were drizzled with what I believe was a light cranberry sauce. While the sauce wasn't necessary, it added a nice contrast to the flavor of the lamb. I can confidently say that these lamb chops are now in my top 10 favorites. The only thing I didn't eat was the wedges, but that’s simply because I usually don’t eat them. Now, for dessert, the strawberry cheesecake was truly something special. You could taste the care and time that went into preparing it. My first bite left me shocked at how good it was. As a big cheesecake fan, I’m sure I’ll be back just for that. Overall, I’m really glad I dined at this restaurant. I truly appreciated the excellent food and service.
Salmonen Thai tasted amazing!! The whisky burger was delicious. So delicious I was not able to take a picture before my engagement disappeared. We want to take this place to Stl with us! Unbelievable food! They won't be disappointed.
Had the Reuben special. First of all, I've worked along side the kitchen staff for a couple of days prior to dining, they're good folks! I witnessed wholesome conversations when time permitted, genuinely kind staff who were always willing to help, or answer questions as needed, it was a fun and peaceful environment. I was so impressed I chose to dine on my dime, and was rewarded with exceptional service, very good presentation, great tasting quality food, competitively priced, in a very nice atmosphere. I've added them to my favorites list!
