I visited the restaurant for a fish fry on Friday night, and it was a great experience. I ordered the breaded fish along with a baked potato and coleslaw. Everything was well-prepared and beautifully presented, and the portion sizes were generous. The service was quick and friendly. Since we had a group of ten, making a reservation was a smart choice, as the restaurant was quite busy. The drinks were delicious, and the prices were very reasonable.
This is my first time playing at Pinewood in nearly 30 years, and I can see a lot of potential here. The greens are in great condition, but the fairways have struggled this year due to the hot summer. There are some bare patches and quite a bit of crabgrass. The senior rate for 9 holes was $12. The gentleman at the pro shop was very friendly and genuinely appreciated our business, and the grounds crew waved and greeted us as they passed by. I'm really glad I decided to play here again, and I plan to return.
Visited today. Moderately busy just prior to supper hour as I picked up two fish fry dinners to go. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice presentation in the to go box and the value of the meal included a very large piece of whole fish, a salad, fresh roll, a side of vegetables (or french fries) and a cup of soup. Every item was fresh and very good tasting. I enjoyed! While I waited, the staff appeared pleasant and enjoying their work. The golf course was a sight to behold--you would never know that we have had practically no rain for 6 weeks. Truly a paradise looking it over. Will do this again!
I feel they did a great job considering the conditions we are under. We had soup served to us then a salad with chicken which was huge. But the salad dressing was served family style and passed around, not good!!
