Nugget Casino Resort - The Steakhouse Grill

I discovered this hidden gem at The Nugget. It offers a unique menu featuring pizza, sandwiches, and stir fry. During my first visit, I tried their whole cheese pizza for $20 and was blown away. The slices were huge, just like in NYC, and baked to perfection. The crust was amazing and the pizza came out piping hot. On my second visit, I went for the pepperoni pizza, which was still good but a bit greasier than I would have liked. They also sprinkled an Italian seasoning/parmesan mix on the crust, which was tasty but I prefered the simplicity of just cheese. The Chow Mein was surprisingly delicious, made right in front of you in a wok with mixed veggies and shrimp. This place is a hidden gem for fresh and flavorful food.

The restaurant usually provides decent service like a typical diner, but it has more of a takeout vibe. I have been there about 5 times now and have enjoyed the pepperoni pizza more than the meat options. They offer a great lunch special with 2 slices of pizza and a drink. I particularly like their wonton soup, which has a lot of chicken, char siu pork, shrimp, and fried wontons, although I would prefer the wontons to be steamed. The Mai fun noodles (thin rice noodles) are also delicious. I have also tried their Loco moco, Kalua pork, and BBQ chicken, but experienced an issue with the shredded BBQ chicken during my last visit. Director Shirley O'Leary addressed our concern promptly and deserves a five-star rating. The restaurant is located in Nugget Casinos Sparks, off of I80.

I stayed at the Nugget for a convention and tried the chicken Pad Thai several times. It was absolutely fantastic!

The service was okay, we had to bus our own table. They were really busy with a concert happening . I had the Loco Moco, which was not very flavorful. The cheese pizza was plain, sauce was not flavorful. The French fries were good, probably the best part of our meal.

Worst “sweet chili” wings ever. Chicken bowl was also nasty. Food was very bland. Not sure what Island they’re representing but the food is terrible.
