Belair House - Southwark

Another fantastic experience at this restaurant, this time with a group of 9 of us. The food was exceptional and reasonably priced. It was nice to have the Bay Room all to ourselves. Well done Belair, you continue to impress us with each visit.

We were a group of five people. We received a friendly welcome into a spacious room, but we were seated in a small, sunny annex. Belair House is a peculiar place; there were many people walking their dogs in the somewhat run-down grounds. The interior is shabby chic, but more accurately, it is tired and dirty. While it may work as a wedding venue with some improvements, as a restaurant, it falls short. The service was a bit awkward, but acceptable, and the food was good. Three of us had the Roast Beef, which was excellent, although one person found a strange herb to be overpowering. The Poisson was delicious and the pig in blanket I tried was lovely. Our five-year-old granddaughter enjoyed the Fish Goujons. The drinks were good, but overall, I cannot recommend Belair House as a restaurant.

We had a really good meal far better than any of the Indian restaurants we use for takeaways, and of course the atmosphere of Belair is wonderful Three of us shared two starters and had three mains we specially loved the beetroot and scallop starters. I’m definitely going back again soon, particularly as there is a 30% discount from Mon Thurs and 20% on Fri and Sat check that the offer is still running before you go

We went back here today for our 10th anniversary and had the most delicious lunch! We met the owner who was so lovely and let us go upstairs to see where we were married ten years ago. Such a lovely afternoon! We will definitely be back soon, with friends next time. Thank you so much John for making our special day even more special

Belair House was our wedding venue they were extremely helpful and organised in the build up to the wedding. Communication was fantastic food was amazing and portion sizes were very generous. The day night was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for anything more from them. They also gave us wonderful contacts to use for the wedding which helped with the process.
