It was all fantastic and will definitely be back. Special mention of our main waiter Cameron and the manager Socky, who made sure we had a wonderful evening. Thank you.
Visited this restaurant a few times as me and my partner both like it’s food and atmosphere. It’s good value for money to fine dinning. This time came for their Celebration menu. For our entrees, both the prawns chicken were overcooked, so quite dry. We both had the steaks which were cooked perfectly to medium rare, delicious! The shared dessert and the wine were nice. Friendly attentive staff, so overall a nice place for dining.
We chose this on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the fried chicken, steak, calamari, and another dish that wasn't mine, but still received great praise from my friend. All in all, we each agreed that the food was delicious and felt that the prices matched the quality. The wine menu was decent as well as the cocktails plenty of options. The restaurant itself is intimate, and clearly abiding by covid restrictions. Staff were mostly friendly and attentive. Would I return? Actually, yes. I've never been a big Leagues club person, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Should you visit? Absolutely. It's a gem outside of the normal coastline of the GC.
Epic Fail went there last Saturday night. They offer an early bird special (in by 5:50 out by 7 we finally got out at 7:10 1 hour 20). We waited and waited and after 40 minutes all we had eaten was bread. Nice though. 5 more minutes and the mains came out. I had the Parmy (over cooked). My wife had Eye Fillet (chewy, over cooked). She sent it back for a medium. It was replaced quickly. Empty plates sat on the table for about 10 minutes. Dessert was a cookie with ice cream to share. We ate the ice cream but the cookie was cement like. We left it. Paying the bill, they didn't ask if we enjoyed the meal, would have said very disappointing. If you are charging the prices that they charge, then this is not up to standard. Service and the bread were the only good thing. We will never be returning. I don't buy the argument that they were busy. It's a Saturday night, you should have plenty of staff
The appetizers were the only highlight of our dinner. For our main courses, we ordered the pork ($45) and lamb rack ($50). Unfortunately, neither dish met expectations; my lamb was served rare despite my request for medium, and it was poorly seasoned. The pork dish was excessively salty and bland in the middle. Dessert was a letdown as well— the popcorn crème brûlée didn’t taste like popcorn at all. The top was overly burnt, giving it the texture of charcoal. Overall, this was a mediocre dining experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it for fine dining.
