Carrabba's Italian Grill - Southport

The calamari tasted undercooked, chewy, and slimy. The sautéed spinach was extremely bitter. However, the shrimp was cooked well.

The sauce tasted like store-bought generic sauce. Alex D was our server. Every time we asked him for something, he didn't respond. At one point, he even rolled his eyes. We never received the dishes we ordered. He didn't seem to smile at all. We left a lot of untouched food on our plates and he didn't offer to pack it for us. If it weren't for the food being already paid for, we would have left it behind. We won't be returning. The prices are not justified by the limited menu and poor service. Avoid this restaurant.

This is not the Carrabba's I remember and I will not be returning. The restaurant looks run down with many broken tiles outside. The service was good, but the food was mediocre. The wood-fired pizza oven is no longer there. I am skeptical of the positive Google reviews as they seem suspicious to me.

The chicken trio has been my go to meal here for nearly 20 years. It is a premier dish filled with a mix of flavors. For casual Italian dining you can't go wrong.

Place is run down, seats all cracked, doors dirty. Desperately in need of a re-furb.Food was mediocre at best. Massive portions (more is NOT always better Pre-prepped and microwaved.One of the huge range of 4 beers was not in stock when the bill came, there was a charge for the out-of-stock beer I didn't drink.How does this place have 4.4 stars; it's just rubbish. Awful. Won't be returning. Ever.
