The Full Moon Oyster - Southern Pines

The carburized oysters are always quite good, they have different specialties during the week you can see them on the big chalkboard. Nice place for some seafood and drinks. The staff is very friendly and helpful when it comes to food recommendations. For me great place for a quick bite of oysters and beers.

Phenomenal food. They don't always have everything in stock, but to me this is a mark of freshness, especially with regard to seafood. My absolute favorite are the crab legs. Oysters are awesome as well. We go here on special occasions because the prices are more than average, but we always have a great time and awesome food.

The fish basket was quite nice, featuring Lota fries and hush puppies. It would have been great if we could swap out the sides for something else. My mother dared me to try a piece of her quarter moon. If you enjoy spicy food or like a challenge, it's definitely worth a try. I’d rate the heat level between 8 and 9 out of 10. The oyster was topped with jalapeño, horseradish, and chili sauce on a cracker. It was a bit on the pricey side, but since we were celebrating a birthday, it felt justified. Considering the seafood and the quantity we consumed, the price was reasonable. If it weren’t for the birthday celebration, we might have spent around $20-30 less.

I had a wonderful time at this restaurant with its great relaxing atmosphere! The Thursday evening beer special really adds to the experience. My husband enjoyed his oysters and shrimp, while I found the steak I packed to be a bit tough and hard to chew. However, my drink was absolutely delicious! Overall, it was a lovely evening, and I particularly appreciated the terrace seating.

The restaurant offers excellent beers and creative dishes, and it always seems to be bustling with customers. Everyone I've talked to raves about the place!
