Visited last week to celebrate eldest Son's A level results as he fancied a tasty Burger.Guess that is not on the menu there any more. Whatvwe got was burnt dry bacon double cheese Burger with a stale bun, a burnt dry classic double cheese Burger with no cheese, only one lot of 20 nuggets despite ordering two lots so we had to wait while they cooked them so our food was now cold. The machines would not recognise the code we had so had to order at the counter so manager was most put out as he had to something. Also when we walked at 19. 50 we were told not very politely that it was takeaway only as they shutting at 20.00 despite web site saying 22.00 which was annoying as we planned to eat in. The manager then locked the door dead on 8 turning away 5 or 6 people including a family with young children

Burger King on High Street in Southend on Sea, Essex, provided the worst food I have ever ordered from Just Eat. Despite paying a high price, the food was cold, stale, and overcooked. As a firefighter with Essex County Fire and Rescue who had just finished a 15-hour night shift, I was extremely disappointed. The chicken royale with cheese, bacon double cheeseburger, and chicken strip dippers that I ordered were all inedible. Burger King used to be my favorite takeaway, but their declining standards are concerning. I am now left hungry and unsatisfied, with no value for my money. Even my dog refused to eat the food. Burger King's response of offering only two Whopper vouchers was insulting. I will not be ordering from them again. Thank you for not taking care of your firefighters, Burger King.

My boyfriend and I recently went to Burger King on 29/03/22 in the evening. When we got there we were served by a young boy. We put our order in for a vegan whopper however the our server must have made a mistake when putting in our order and put a whopper in instead. When our order was ready my boyfriend just double checked with our server that it was vegan and he realised that he must have made a mistake and apologised (which was absolutely fine, everyone makes mistakes! . When he told the (what I am assuming was the manager he had put through the wrong thing the manager started shouting at this employee about how he needs to start doing better etc. in-front of my boyfriend and I and about 3 other customers. He was very aggressive and we both felt embarrassed and it created an extremely uncomfortable atmosphere. Working in hospitality I completely understand it is frustrating if someone puts through the wrong thing but I feel there is a time and place to tell your employee that they need to do better (for example pulling them to the side in private and having this discussion . But we both felt it was a complete power trip and we both felt awful for the employee as it really was not a big deal and the manager was the one that made us leave with a really horrible feeling. I don’t think this is sign of good management at all and you should not treat your staff like this.

My husband and I visited Southend on sea, Essex Burger king. Well it’s been a while due to not going out much during lockdown etc and I can safely say we won’t be going back anytime soon or possibly ever!!! We always opted for BK over mac d’s as far more flavour and always fresh and hot. Well no longer is that the case. Now using the warming trays system by the looks of it. Burger was barely warm and very dry. Totally unacceptable and a massive deterioration of the former quality. We will no longer be purchasing from Burger King for exactly the same reason we won’t purchase from mc donalds. We WILL NOT pay good money for luke warm, pre cooked and stored dry cardboard burgers and stale buns. What is annoying is that people are only too happy to accept sub standard food without question or complaint, which is exactly why they are getting away with continuing sloppy standards. In addition to this there wasn’t even a full menu available to look at.
