Admiral Sir Lucius Curtis - Southampton

It's a Wetherspoons and you know what to expect cheap, cheerful and tired. Yes this pub is all three but people who visit these establishments should not criticise them for that. Food was very good, twice we have eaten here now and no trouble on that score. Staff are always friendly and helpful, and an added bonus Ocean Village is right next door so the location works too.

This place is situated by Ocean Village and it's not a bad place. The place is clean and the staff were friendly I ordered the southern fried boneless chicken strips, with fries and slaw, this together with a pint was £8-25 ... Which is good value. There was 6 strips, which were tasty and hot, the chips I found were Luke warm at best, I didn't send them back, but this needs to be addressed in my eyes. I found the meal overall was ok, these places are what they are, if you want a meal and drink then it's worth a visit.

Dropped in for a late lunch. Can see a lot of new staff doing their best, place generally could do with a complete refurb now, it's got very tatty. But food good, great burger deal and hot chips, top marks! Husband had the fish chips which he said was perfectly cooked and he really enjoyed it. It was busy with people just enjoying themselves, well done

Shame. Great burger meal and fish and chips as usual, but also as usual the chips weren't hot which spoils it. Please don't leave precooked chips waiting around, you can cook them fresh (or plunge back for a quick refresh before serving). Staff friendly and good, thanks

This place has been skating on thin ice with me for a few weeks now, for various reasons. Today was the final straw. I was lied to by the staff about food availability, so I decided to walk away. It’s been getting steadily worse over the last few weeks, everything from orders being wrong, to seeming inability to fry an egg properly. It seems to be turning into nothing more than a drinking den for undesirables. I won’t be going back again. There are a miriad of better options in the near vicinity including other Wetherspoons places). I won’t be rushing back here anytime soon.
