Sheldon's Ice Cream - Southampton

I was pleasantly surprised to discover this place in Southampton! I tried the new cookies and the cherry chocolate chip cookies, and both were absolutely delicious. The setting offers a beautiful view of a stream, along with covered seating. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Just a heads up, they only accept cash. This is an update to my previous review from June 26, 2022.

I appreciate the effort and care put into creating non-dairy options, but unfortunately, it’s not something I would return for. I tried three flavors: the circus bear was overly sweet and too brightly colored, while the coffee and chocolate flavors were quite bland—more chocolatey than actual chocolate.

I can't praise Sheldon's Ice Cream enough and I'm really thankful for their vegan options. Their ice cream is creamy, smooth, and absolutely delicious! We tried the cherry chocolate chip, mint chocolate chip (my favorite), coffee, and chocolate, and they were all delightful! Everything is vegan and reasonably priced!

I believe this place is outstanding! We had some ice cream, and it was delicious! I appreciate how it's situated beside a brook, allowing us to sit on the deck right above it. I chose raspberry ice cream with chocolate chips, while my wife opted for chocolate peanut butter flavor. She really enjoyed mine. I also like that the place isn't crowded.

The handmade ice cream here is absolutely delicious, and the charming outdoor porch offers a beautiful view of the river. Although the dam has been removed, it’s a positive change for the environment. You can even spot native trout swimming in the stream.
