Argento - Southampton

Truly a surprisingly great food place. My wife and I were skeptical giving its a very high traffic/tourist main road in South Hampton. We ordered salmon and a complete Bronzino (also head and all). Both cooked to perfection and to exact specs of ourrequest(i.e salmon was requested very rare). I would have given five stars but to be honest, we got there at 11:54am. While Iunderstand they open at 12noon(I.e 6 minutes later, we asked if we could just be seated and we understand we will not be servedfor the 6 minutes. They denied our ask. A bit much I think given 6 minutes. Nonetheless, we were glad we didn?t go to anotherestablishment up the road.

Tasty, good value lunch in an expensive location. Though a top end restaurant with prices to match, the lunch we had was surprisingly good value and very tasty. (We had a Lump crab salad and BLT from the lunch time menu . We had a fine bottle ofwine that added significantly to the price ; We sat out front in a great, shady location on the road edge of the pavementgiving lots of opportunities for people watching on a warm, summer afternoon. Service was friendly but slow on account of thevery large group that had arrived sometime earlier.

Excellent fresh salads. Delicious burger. Outdoor pet friendly seating. Relaxed feel.

Great service and food! Had lunch outside there. We had the Mistake Salad with Salmon on top and it was delicious. Salmon cooked perfect and the salad was great.

When your five year old asks you why the person who works at the restaurant is so mean, you know there is something wrong. This review is specially directed towards the extremely rude hostess Adriana (or something close to that name). I left my 1 yearold?s bottle outside. She came inside from where it was to rudely tell me I left it there. Instead of bringing it it, sheproceeded to tell me she didn?t bring it in because she was too busy. Then when I went to check in to see if there was a highchair, she said it was the busboys responsibility and not hers. Mind you we are dining at 515pm, the restaurant is empty exceptfor one other table and she is standing outside straightening menus. Mind blowing to receive this level of service. The foodwas delicious, while portions were small. None of this would have been an issue nor would I have taken the time to write thisreview, but we were BLOWN AWAY that this type of attitude could be tolerated. We frequent all of the Dopos every summer and willnot be returning to this location as long as Adriana (or the girl with the painted eyebrows) is there. Highly disappointed.
