Great Island Bakery - South Yarmouth

First, the baked pastries are fabulous: round Danish with blueberries, apple tar, chocolate croissant, everything. Then bring the freshly frozen CLAM PIE home and bake it in your oven. It's amazing!!

This bakery makes a really good key lime cake. But one day they can do it on a day and the next day they told me they needed two days. It was Co-Workers' birthday today and we called last week to have it ready for today, so they had a lot of time. When we showed up this morning, they didn't do it and seemed to care. It was on schedule before them. Just not a big deal to her when it was for a birthday party and we ordered it a week ago. Very disappointed.-UPDATE: The bakery apologized for the mistake and gave us a free cake and it was delicious.

I own a cottage about 4 blocks away. It is part vacation spot, part airbnb. I love getting breakfast here and many of our guests have said the same. Fresh handmade on-site and very tasty. Warning this cash or check only.

Make sure I come here every year to enjoy her famous cinnamon buns and other baked goods. Watching her make these right in kitchen and the smell of fresh warm baked goods is like being in the kitchen with Grandma.

This is not so much a review. I was wondering if anybody knows how to get hold of the owner since they closed so abruptly. I was wondering if I could possibly get her blueberry scone recipe. I tried a couple of times this summer to get them. Thinking that she was going to open unfortunately that's not the case and I'm going to miss these blueberry scones. I would bring home a couple of dozen frozen ones every summer to have on hand. I cannot find any like hers. Even when I try to make them myself. I would never ask if the business was still open. If anybody knows how to get in touch with her please let me know. If you see this Kerry I would appreciate it.
