We were a group of four people from two households, and they were able to accommodate us at a larger table while maintaining social distance. The restaurant had many sanitation stations and a clearly marked flow system. Despite being busy, the food was served promptly and was delicious. The menu had a great selection to choose from. There is also a spectacular walk on the old road bridge nearby. We would definitely come back again.
I recently returned to a Brewer's Fayre for the first time since March, and it was a first for me. The signage outside was not very clear for finding the actual entrance within the hotel. After a short wait, we were seated. The waitstaff was excellent and very attentive. The mac and cheese burger was delicious. I also tried the new dessert, meringue kisses, which were a tasty treat.
I had the Christmas dinner and it was terrible. The vegetables were hard and the roast potatoes were not cooked properly. The service was also lacking. I dined in for lunch and paid between £20-30 per person. The food and service were both rated a 1, but the atmosphere was a 3.
I stayed at the hotel and found the food to be decent, but there wasn't a wide variety to choose from. Unfortunately, they were out of fish and chips. The staff were excellent, despite being very busy. Breakfast was good. Overall, I would rate the service, food, and atmosphere all as a 3 out of 5. I recommend trying the lasagna. The price per person for dinner was between £10-£20.
This restaurant was a disappointment compared to other Brewer's Fayre pubs. We dined in for dinner and spent £60-70 per person. The food was rated a 2, the service a 1, and the atmosphere a 1.
