Taqueria La Favorita - South Houston

My favorite visit during South Houston. Shows the most authentic Mexican cuisine in Texas. You cannot go wrong with the enchilada dinner during the week or the special Tacos Al Vapor on weekends!

Waitstaff was great and attentive. Ordered a burrito and shrimp cocktail. The meat (fajita) was tender,the cheese was good and melty. I wish the burrito had avocado ? and or crema inside. The shrimp cocktail was really big and packed with shrimp. It was a Lil too spicy for me but I just added some ketchup. The food was reasonably priced and good variety.

While this is the first time at this restaurant, it was great!! I dropped by for lunch and there were several people there. I had expected to wait but didn't at all. I sat, had my food ordered and on the table in under 10 min. I would highly recommend. One drawback is they don't have soda in a fountain only cans. But overall one of the best taco places I have been too

The food was really good. But what I didnt like was that they do those extra charges like charging $5 to pay with card. Another thing is that whenever you order food to go they charge you I dont know if is the plate they charge or the aluminum foil. On the enchiladas poblanas for what ever inside meat or cheese they also charge you extra fee. Be aware of any extra fees because they wont tell you until you get your receipt.

I have came to this place once with a friend and now I find myself coming back again. Majority of the food is good here and great price for it too. I would definately recommend this place.
