China Buffet - South Haven

The hospitality wasn't very good. The food was undercooked. If you look at the floor the floor basically can tell you on how clean the kitchen is. The staff is not knowledgeable about cleaning standards or hazardous about cleanliness. They don't really care and everybody around you eating doesn't really care what they're eating because they're just hungry and they don't care about mold or bacteria or undercooked food. It is just unsanitary and not beneficial to eat here for $30 for two people to eat. Definitely would never come back again. The food quality is about as good as McDonald's. It has no flavor, it's undercooked and everything is raw and cold. Definitely would not go here

They have a call center answer the phones and tell customers a completely wrong price and then when you get there's it's more expensive. Food isn't great. Low quality. 16 bucks a person is a shame for this place.

The food wasn’t Fresh the fruit wasn’t cold nothing was appetising there are not many options, I expressed this to them and all they said was we can ask them to put more stuff out! Smh not a pleasant experience at all! And they over charge for what they have

Usually eat here when in town once or twice a year, and today (6/18/24) everything was great, including the banana pudding for dessert. Paid less than $13 (lunch). I'll be back.

As I watched the staff members handle the food and salad bar without wearing gloves, I couldn't help but feel uneasy about the cleanliness of the establishment. The sight of them wiping down the surfaces with what appeared to be dirty rags from the kitchen only compounded my concerns. It was clear that basic hygiene standards were not being met, posing a serious risk to the health and safety of patrons.Overall, my experience at the China Buffet was marred by both the lackluster food quality and the alarming lapses in sanitation. It's deeply concerning to witness such negligence in a restaurant setting, and I would hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone. Management must take immediate action to address these issues and prioritize the health and well-being of their customers. Until significant improvements are made, dining at the China Buffet remains a risk not worth taking.
