The Fish Chip - South Burlington

We visited this restaurant on the Friday after Thanksgiving. It was a challenge to find a place that was open, so we decided to try this one. We were very happy that we did! The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We will definitely return the next time we are in town. The special on Friday was Cod & Chips for $11.95, which was a great deal. We also tried the wings, which were large and delicious.

While traveling in Burlington and staying at a nearby hotel, we stumbled upon this hidden gem while looking for a moderately priced dinner. Specializing in fish and chips, as the name suggests, this unassuming restaurant also offers a variety of other dishes on the menu. Most plates are priced below $15, but don't let that fool you - the food here is fantastic. The freshly-fried fish and chips ($11.95) were delicious and perfectly cooked, with handcut thick potatoes. The calamari special ($7.95) was tender and crispy, topped with cheese powder. We also enjoyed a side of mushy peas ($3.95) and a cup of clam chowder ($3.95). This was our only meal of the day after indulging in sweet treats like maple, chocolate, and ice cream, and it was satisfying and comforting. The service was excellent, with the woman at the counter being particularly friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had a pleasant dining experience.

We decided to dine at this restaurant with our one-year-old since it is conveniently located, and who doesn't enjoy fish and chips? We were pleased with all of the dishes we ordered! Our toddler particularly enjoyed the mushy peas (which I also found delicious), and the fish tacos were fantastic. The service was speedy and the staff were very friendly.

The seafood was all obviously fresh! Nothing was frozen or had that weird chewy, soggy texture frozen seafood has. Lightly battered, very crispy and delightfully tender! We got the house special. 10 out of 10 recommend! The calamari appetizer is mynew obsession! Crisp. Tender. Seasoned well! Went excellently with the ranch or marinara! I encourage everyone to try thisplace! So good! Was exactly what I was craving!

THIS!!! PLACE!!! ROCKS!!!! The lady waiting on the customers is a one woman wonder wrecking crew!!! Order the battered haddock and poutine!! I would give TEN STARS if I could. The lady was absolutely cheers, smiles, gregarious, personable, conscientiousand courteous of all customers, Fast and efficient...all in one package. I want her to move to Central Ohio so I can enjoy herfood more often.
