Monaghan House - South Amboy

The food was enjoyable overall. My only complaint is that I ordered sauces for the wings and chicken fingers, but they were missing from the delivery. The blueberry pierogies were delicious, and the wings were tasty, too. The chicken fingers were good, although a bit bland without a dipping sauce. The bar pies were also enjoyable, but my husband prefers a thinner crust—though I should note that he can be particular about pizza. I would definitely order from here again. (We're visiting from Florida, so we won't be back until next summer.)

The Monaghan fries were disappointing; the gravy was lumpy, and they used seasoned fries.

I requested the skirt steak to be cooked medium, but it came out burnt on the outside and had that taste to match. I was quite disappointed!

More mushrooms on sandwich than beef, and no mention was made there were mushrooms on the sandwich to begin with or I would have asked you not to put them on. Sneaky move, and a cheap one! I thought I was paying for beef, not cheap mushrooms!!
