The attitude was nice that we sat outside, but very quiet towards the customers, we were the only ones sitting there. Food was excellent, easy ...but I'm tight! expensive, but good quality. I would go back
We ate here a delicious dinner, drank the house wine and ordered snails with mushrooms, and watch for appetizers, then we had veal and duck, both very good, but fill light. Ends our meal with cream Brûlée Topped with Calvados, which is a treat. Must...adds that the boss and the owner speaks fluent English and helped us choose our meals. Only a wonderful evening in a pleasant atmosphere with great food.
An excellent meal in every way! We were a group of 4 adults and were very well looked after; our host Jerome was attentive, spoke to us in fluent English he worked in England for a few years; he served very drinkable wines along...with 3 courses of delicious food selected from several options (in the menu du Jour offer). We all had the gammon for our main course, and each of us agreed that it was the best gammon we had for many years! The decor was very smart, and the terrace for outdoor seats looked very attractive to sad, it rained during our visit, but it was not a sacrifice to eat in the comfort of the dining room. We wish Jerome a busy, successful future in Le Relais de Gabillou, it is so good to see that a good restaurant has survived the Covid restrictions!
Wonderful plat du jour, great service and friendly and helpful owner/chef. Highly recommended. Tables not crammed in but nicely spaced and beautiful table linen complete with ‘galloping horse’ cutlery rests!
Arrived for lunch on the terrace, we were imposed a table in the sun, while others, in the shade, were free...No menu at 15€ on Sundays. It is 25, 29 or 35€.Menu à 25€: plate perigord, confit, or eminced of beef, dessert: corrected to 29€: snails cassolette, salmon, cream burnt, well, without more. For this price, we would have hoped for non-industrial bread (white bread without flavor)As for the general atmosphere, the terrace, although not pleasant In the end, clean kitchen but for a fare too high for the region.
