フィードバックを提供するIndividual plates catering for two. Good value. Food is good. Had the local Buffalo file steak and shrimps with rice and fries.. simple but good. Seems you can't get it wrong on the island with Buffalo meat. Very tender. Service not always available, had to grab some Items from the kitchen bar myself. Bring cash. Restaurant accepts debit cards but machine isn't always working.
I really enjoyed the the filé marajoara (buffalo fillet, served with creamy Piedmontese rice with melted buffalo cheese and fresh coriander and chips. Service was outstanding, considered Bola himself got out of his way to help us with an unrelated matter. We had never met him before. Recommended!
Solar da Bola is a casual indoor restaurant with varied menu options. As elsewhere on the island, prices are not inexpensive. I ate at Solar da Bola on 2 occasions: lunch (the heavy meal of the day one day and on another day I visited with friends in the evening to try the famous (infamous? turu. At lunch during the week after new years some menu items were out of stock. I had the filhote fish with rice and salad (I requested the fish grilled, it came instead breaded, after havining waited 30 minutes for the entree to emerge from the kitchen I gave no thought to requesting a change and ate what was served . Turu is a mollusc related to clams and oysters. Its appearance is that of a long white worm that lives in the trunk of mangrove trees and it eats wood. Some people clean and eat the fresh turu. The turu dish available at the restaurant was a soup made from frozen turu. The broth of the soup was tasty, the turu itself is an acquired taste. The walls of the restaurant are decorated with handicrafts, including a model of a shrimp trap.
Vim de São Paulo, já com informações desse prato filé marajoara, muito bom, attentive funcionários, so o chef arrogante, it seems that a fame is subindo a cabeça.
Interesting place, um serviço excellent e a delicious foi food. Apesar de não ter o Turu cru no carápio, nos servicioam e foi uma experiência eating-lo. Muito melhor o caldo com o Turu cozido, e a carne marajoara é delicious.
