Comptoir du Vin - Soulac-sur-Mer

We were there several times and ate at the cafe, sometimes for dinner. The food and wine were always excellent, especially local wine. The Basque sausage plate special mention, we would every week if we lived locally. Maybe again next year !!!!

This small location has good drinks and tapas but they are very expensive. Service is mostly friendly but the place is a little cliquey.

Excellent choice of wines (a great white Haut-Médoc, to name but one), very tasty food (truffled Edam, for instance), all this with very accurate and friendly advice with a smile. The place itself is small and very nicely decorated, a hundred yards from the beach, in a small, quiet street. Don't go elsewhere....

By intimate I mean it's not very big inside. There are some chairs and tables outside but beware of the strong breeze that blows off the sea and straight down this street.A reasonable choice of wines and decent classy snacks such as charcuterie. Nice atmosphere but a little overpriced.

Just to be clear this is a very small wine bar NOT a restaurant. It serves a good variety of drinks and tapas. Nice place and friendly staff but very small and a little expensive.
