It was nearly impossible to have a conversation; even when we moved to the balcony and closed the doors, the noise from the bar area was overwhelming. It runs down through the mid-level, making it unsuitable for booked events and parties. Additionally, the food was quite average for the price we paid. Overall, it was a disappointing experience despite the beautiful setting.
I enjoyed cocktails at this restaurant on a warm Friday night, and the ambiance and decor were beautiful. However, the service was slow when it came to cocktails, which seemed to be an issue regardless of how busy the place was; oddly enough, it was mostly empty during my visit. The pizzas were underwhelming and overcooked. The three-cheese pizza was overly sweet, with only a few shavings of Parmesan and perhaps a spoonful of Gorgonzola buried under a mountain of mozzarella. The jalapeño poppers were a disappointment, fried to a dark brown with a hard shell; they varied greatly in size, and the cheese filling was a dry, chaotic mess rather than the spicy treat they should be. The spring rolls were decent but clearly pre-made, lacking in both quality and presentation, making them not worth the price considering the absence of garnishes. Overall, most of the food we ordered remained uneaten on the table. The staff didn't even inquire about it, but at least the views were nice.
I want to emphasize the location of this restaurant; the view is absolutely fantastic and creates a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere by the water. As for the food, it was good but not exceptional. I appreciated the freshness of the seafood platter, especially compared to other places where the seafood seems to be pre-frozen and then deep-fried. The service was also a plus—very quick and efficient.
Large ambiente, combined with a great landscape at the sea, make this place a great place to chill! furthemore its position in the second floor allow more persuasive, cooler air and more private sphere! Unfortunately, the prices are very expensive gott thanks for his lunch special to help those without thick bags. they have only 2 3 different sorts for the specificity. we ordered the chicken parmi and the burger. it was in order. the staff were friendly but slow service (I don't see many employees there).
Visited Reid's Lounge mid Saturday afternoon for drinks a few nibbles with 6 friends. Bar staff were extremely slow serving making cocktails, while we stood at the bar waiting for the drinks to be made, instead of offering to bring them to our table. I ordered the calamari which is listed on the bar menu as being gluten free (I'm coeliac). After ordering I was told that it's not gluten free as it is cooked in the same fryer as items containing gluten. I was happy to choose something else, but did wonder why the menu would list it as gluten free when it isn't. There weren't many other gluten free options on the bar menu that I fancied, so I asked if could order from the Ishka menu which is right next to Reid's. The Manager said if I ordered food from Ishka I would have to sit in the restaurant to eat it they wouldn't serve it to me a mere few metres away at the table where my 6 friends were sitting. UNBELIEVABLE! I questioned this with the Manager he seemed to think this was perfectly reasonable! In the end a barramundi dish from the Reid's menu was customised for me to make it gluten free. The whole experience was extremely poor I never usually find it THAT hard to find gluten free food. The Manager was so rude inconsiderate to the situation where I was trying to enjoy time with friends (without it being a really big deal that I have a dietary requirement) I still can't believe he suggested I go sit in a restaurant by myself to eat! I will never return or recommend this place to anyone.
